My classes are designed to engage children aged 3-8 years old in a fun and structured way

Classes

  • Group classes are 30 minutes (pre-school) or 40 minutes (school age).

  • Classes run are all year round, both inside and outside and run in term-time only.

  • Classes are kept small (6 in each class with one coach) and age specific (Pre-school, Reception, Year 1 &2).

  • All classes are coach-led, so parents don't get involved in the class. From Emma’s own experience, children respond better when they just have one person (the coach) to listen to and it allows her to develop relationships, build trust and make them into Little Aces!

  • All equipment is provided including tennis rackets.

  • Pre-school children can have a FREE TRIAL before committing to a term.

  • Emma also offers 30 minute private classes (1 or 2 children), to 3-9 year olds at Marlow Tennis Club. £16 per lesson on the mini court.  Please contact me to book.

PRE- SCHOOL (3&4 year olds)

These sessions are packed full of fun ways for children to experience the tennis feel. Most importantly, the aim to ensure that they feel comfortable and happy in the group. Activities develop basic ABC’s - Agility, balance, and coordination, which are core fundamentals for all sports. Children become familiar with holding and using the racket and develop their sending and receiving skills through games. They will also learn the very basic techniques of ground strokes, push volleys and serves with or without a net by using  specially adapted equipment like tennis hoop nets, big balls and beanbags.

ALL PRE-SCHOOL CHILDREN CAN HAVE A FREE TRIAL BEFORE THEY SIGN UP FOR THE TERM.  I am running FREE pre-school trials on Wednesday 20 & Friday 22 September 1.30pm & 2pm at All Saints Church Hall.

SCHOOL AGE (4-8 year olds)

Again, the emphasis is on fun and we extend the basics to develop strokes, understand movement, begin rallies and use basic scoring. Children also start to work as a team in pairs to develop their underarm and overarm throwing, so they are all actively engaged – no long queues! At 8, they will then be ready to feed into the fantastic tennis coaching programme at Marlow Tennis Club.

PrivateClasses

I offer 30 minute private classes (1 or 2 children), to 3-9 year olds at Marlow Tennis Club in the holidays.

  • £18 per lesson on the mini court

  • Dates TBC – contact me to arrange

Have a private court?

I can come to you! I can run a 1 hour camp or Birthday party for up to 6 kids of similar ages or private lessons during the holidays. Please contact me to arrange this.
